Suggestion: bind file extension to editor group
Hi,
In my latest project, I've divided my editor in 4 groupsand I use the top left one for the Blazor files, the next one for the .CS files, the bottom left for JS files and the last one for the CSS files.
Now, every time I open a new file I have first to activate the right group and then open the file, to be sure that it goes where I need it.
Would it be useful having an option to select which extension goes in which group. So that, when I open a Blazor file, for example, automatically open it in the top left group (following my previous example). If not extension is selected it keep working as usual.
I hope it make sense.

Unfortunately at this time, Rider does not have this feature. While there are a few methods to introduce feature requests, I think your best choice here would be to use RIder's tracker here and submit a request on https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue. On the tracker, others can see your request and add their vote if they find such a tool would be useful, which helps our team to better understand which features/tools our users are eager for. I believe this can help give the best visibility for your request.
