Latest version dimming Editor window on "Find in Files" panel open
Had to update to 2026.2.0.2 as requested by Support to see if it fixed a bug. Knew it'd be a mistake.
It didn't, but now the main window dims if I open the Find in Files panel - even if it's pinned on another monitor while typing in the main code window.
Even giving other apps the focus doesn't dim Rider.
Default theme.
Sounds like something AI thought was a good idea.
I'm not wasting another 4 hours putting a support ticket in - is there an option or not to turn this off before I go back to 2026.1?

Hi Simmo,
This behavior was already reported as RIDER-129919.
A couple of questions to you to understand the problem better:
Dimming of the UI elements on the outer frame is expected when the main window loses focus. If the entire IDE window is dimmed for you, however, including text, here's a few things you can try to resolve it:
I'm on Windows 11. If the same bug was reported on Mac nearly a year ago, it's not 2026.2 that's caused it so at least that's saved me downgrading.
Must be something like a theme I recently installed that didn't clean up when I reverted back to the stock theme. For the record, that was Material UI, One Dark Theme, Gradianto and Gerry Themes - all uninstalled now, including all the other “user-installed” plugins I never installed and got sick of having to unselect them from updating (Subversion, Statistic, Task Management…)
Only Claude, Enhanced UE documentation and Rider Android support remain.
I'm not wishing to restart the IDE at the moment etc as too much downtime recovering sessions - but feel welcome to update the existing issue with your suggestions and my observations so others can benefit and your QA team has more chance of finding the issue.
