XMLDOC renders instantly on insertion.

I would expect that typing my three slashes “///” should result in an xmldoc being stubbed out and my cursor being placed into the summary block so I can begin writing, like so:

An XMLDOC in code showing an empty summary block

Recently, however I find that Rider has been instantly rendering the new comment on insertion so instead I receive a blank space with cursor on the edge of the editor. That results in pushing over the comment when I type and mucking up the formatting.:

A line in the rider editor showing the cursor at the left of edge of the editor before an invisible XMLDOC

The same XMLDOC as above, the words "why amI typing here" now appear to the left of the comment body and have intellisense error highlighting.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes?

Hi Andersenzb, this looks like the issue reported in RIDER-134902, where newly inserted XML documentation comments are immediately rendered, disrupting typing.

As a workaround, try disabling Render documentation comments under Settings | Editor | General | Appearance.
