Exclude Unity Packages from Find Files
Answered
When using either Find in Files or Open File (Control+Shift+N), files in the packages show. I don't want to see these package files in either situation. How do I exclude them from these dialogs? I'd also like to exclude .meta files from showing in my Open File dialog.

Hello, have you tried stop indexing packages?
Can you share a screenshot where exactly you would like to hide *.meta files? Their processing is required for PSI features/meta-file tracker features, so there is no way to completely disable meta files processing, but I'd like to know the exact case.
I told it to Stop Index on the packages folder when "Unity" is the selected view:
Also told it to Stop Index on the packages folder when "File System" is the view (In this case, it never adds the "no index" tag to the folder in the list):
And when I search for files, I still get:
Also, I figured out the thing about excluding .meta files from showing in my Find Files dialog - I just used the filter button haha.

Is there any kind of temporary workaround I can use until the bug is resolved?
Garmichael, regrettably no ETA on this point. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
