Code inspection not working when opening vcproject file

Hello, I've been racking my head this morning attempting to get code inspection working on my project, this is what I have noticed, upon launching the SLN file, I can build my project successfully but I have no code inspection/spelling. If I launch it with the .vcxproj file, it successfully shows code inspection / spelling but I cannot build as the build config is missing.
