Ugh, I'm having this issue also. I'm usually on macOS but I'm working with a project on Windows and have to use IIS Express, this is a pain.

1+ from me. It seems like Xamarin are mainly interested in the Visual Studio experience. Xamarin Studio is 'okay' but it lacks polish and I don't see it improving significantly anytime soon.
