Jetbrains Rider stops responding to key presses
I am using a 64 bit Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with X11 Gnome 3.36.2.
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz × 8
Graphics: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (WHL GT2)
RAM: 15.3 GiB
Disk: 512.1 GB
Every so often, out of nowhere, Rider will stop responding to keyboard presses. I can't type, I can't open shortcut menus, I think the mouse still works.
I have to restart the application to get it working again.
Is there anything I can do to get more information? (logs etc.)

Hello @...,
I am sorry to you have faced such an issue.
To help us investigate this behavior, please create a new issue in our bug tracker and attach the Rider logs collected right after you encounter this issue.
Thank you in advance!
I have the same issue. The faster I type and move around in Rider, the higher the probability of keys stop working. It can happen multiple times per hour or few times per day. Restarting Rider solves the issue until next time.
The same issue is described on the IntelliJ bug tracker (already 11 years ago) with a possible fix. The fix unfortunately does not seem to work for me and I will investigate further.
@... The bug you mentioned has been fixed 7 years ago. So, your case most probably is different.
Please create a ticket to support with you environment info and logs folder attached
I have this issue every day. You just need to keep Rider long enough open throughout the day and it will stop responding to keys, while outside of the Rider window everything is working fine.
Please collect Rider logs and create a new support ticket or a new bug report.
